Hurricanes Irma & Maria dramatically impacted the lives of all living in Puerto Rico. Many of the families who had to leave the island where forced to leave behind their beloved pets due to lack of transportation options.

With the gracious funding from the JPB Foundation and assistance from St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center and El Faro de los Animales sanctuary, we are pleased to announce a program to assist families that are leaving or have left Puerto Rico with transportation services to the mainland.

If you need help transporting your pet from Puerto Rico to the mainland United States we may be able to help.

What is the process?

Most pets will traveling in a private plane to one of four (4) sites in the United States. Once there, they can be picked up by their owners or other travel arrangements will be made if the pet needs to go to another state.

Currently the sites are; Vero Beach Florida, Broward County Florida, Maryland, and New Jersey. These destinations will continue to change depending on need and number of animals traveling.

Our goal is to make this trip as safe and stress free for your pet as possible. This takes a lot of planning, so we ask for your patience and cooperation ahead of time.

If you think we can help you, please fill out the application as soon as possible. We will respond within 48 hrs. and let you know what the next steps will be.
